Please ensure there are no wispy hairs by using hairspray or gel.
No fringes allowed.
Dance hair is best styled on dirty hair, please avoid washing it the day before class.
Only use a hair "doughnut" if your child's hair is too short to create a classic ballet bun.
Please make sure buns are firmly secured with pins, to survive a dance class!
Pre Preparatory
Hair: One classic high ballet bun.
Attire: Mulberry leotard, cardigan, pink ballet tights, full sole ballet shoes and tap shoes.*
Preparatory
Hair: One classic high ballet bun.
Attire: Royal blue leotard, cardigan, convertible pink ballet tights, split sole ballet shoes, jazz shoes and tap shoes. *
Elementary
Hair: One low classic ballet bun with a side parting on the child's left.
Attire: Burgundy leotard, cardigan, skin tone convertible tights, skin tone split sole ballet shoes, jazz shoes, half shoes and tap shoes.*
Intermediate
Hair: One low classic ballet bun with a side parting on the child's left.
Attire: Black leotard, cardigan, skin tone convertible tights, skin tone split sole ballet shoes, jazz shoes, half shoes/foot thongs and tap shoes.*
*All uniform must be purchased through MHDA, on our app under the Uniform tab.
